On December 31, 2024, Strathcona County invites residents and visitors to ring in the New Year at the annual New Year’s Eve Festival, held at Broadmoor Lake Park in Sherwood Park. Chiseled: Edmonton’s International Ice Carving Competition

Held annually in January at the ICE District Plaza, Chiseled brings together seven international two-person teams who have 34 hours to transform 15 blocks of ice into stunning sculptures.
